Ipsita Smolinski and Capitol Street have teamed with Tiber Creek Partners, LLC to advise our clients on policy issues and the potential impact these issues may have on institutional investing. Ipsita has an in-depth understanding of the Medicare payment policies – from Medicare Advantage to inpatient hospital to hospice to skilled nursing facilities – to the complicated regulation and reimbursement policies for drugs, biologics and devices. She liaises with key Senate and House members and healthcare staff as well as the relevant personnel at major health regulatory agencies. Ipsita also has extensive knowledge of various issues affecting the healthcare industry: from healthcare reform on the macro level to major pharmaceutical issues, medical devices, biotech, healthcare distribution, hospitals and managed care on the micro level. Ipsita has served as Vice President and Senior Analyst, U.S. Healthcare Policy, Equity Research for JPMorgan Chase. At JPMorgan, she wrote and published thought pieces and healthcare policy equity research reports for institutional investors on such topics as: government-administered health plans (Medicare and Medicaid), healthcare facilities, FDA evaluations as well as regulation for biotechnology, life sciences, medical devices and pharmaceuticals.
Ipsita received her BA in Natural Sciences and Public Health from Johns Hopkins and her MPH in Population and Family Health as well as her MBA in Finance and Healthcare from Columbia University.
